Prop 1

Teledyne Storm - Cable Solutions Group (CSG) is a vertically integrated, engineering and manufacturing company specializing in ruggedized cable and cable assemblies. Our business focus for Marine and Subsea includes:

  • Subsea and Marine craft
  • Towed Array
  • Shallow water airgun cables
  • Diver communication
  • ROV tethers

Capabilities & Featured Processes

Engineering Product design, 3D modeling, Predictive mold-flow software, Electrical and Pressure testing, Load testing to 10,000 lbs.

Custom Cable Our vertically integrated facility enables TDY Storm to meet the goals of the project by completing 100% of the product in-house. With our extended range of cable manufacturing capabilities, such as neutral buoyancy, waterblocked and filled cable, and our trademarked Kaptamid jacket, TDY Storm can design and manufacture the bulk cable used in your finished assembly.

Termination and Assembly

Utilizing our internally manufactured cable, TDY Storm can complete the termination and assembly to any connector, electrical and mechanical:

Prop 3

  • Round Circular MIL (Stainless Steel, Brass, Aluminum, or Plastic)
  • Copper-Fiber
  • Kellums grip
  • Coaxial
  • Wet-mateable
  • Electro-Mechanical
  • Load bearing Fork terminations
  • Injection and Pour molded connectors and Breakouts
  • Field repairable backshells

Solid Molded Cables

TDY Storm has the capability to injection and pour mold to any connector type or breakout to protect against water ingress and migration up to 10,000 psi. We carry a full line of round circular molds from shell size 8 to 36, breakout molds, and centerline splice molds. Should your application require a custom design, our in-house mold tool design team can engineer a solution for your application no matter what the connector or breakout.

Prop 4

Mechanical Terminations and Environmental Protection When your goal is to obtain full tensile load support, prevent cable crush, improve flex fatigue, and mitigate cable elongation, TDY Storm ulitizes proven techniques to mechanically terminate to any cable strength member (stainless steel, aramid fibers, or nylon) up to 20,000 lbs. of load.

Should your application require a custom design, our in-house mold tool design team can engineer a solution for your application no matter what the connector or breakout.

Advantages of Molded Cables
